However, a new report suggests that the Snapdragon 820 might be significantly ahead this year in terms of performance compared to the Exynos 8890. This could be cause for concern for several global users as the Snapdragon 820 is relatively rare outside the U.S. GPU benchmarks suggest that the Exynos 8890 is in third place after the Snapdragon 820 and the Apple A9. Sure, it’s well above the ill-fated Snapdragon 810 (4th place) from 2016, but fans were surely expecting the gap to be very minimal.
